It is... not awful? It's a bunch of somewhat clumsy but rhythmic verses about lighting the chanukiah, playing dreidl, making latkes, and doing helpful mitzvahs (such as clearing up the mess made by the chanukah party). It completely fails to explain what chanukah is actually about. I'm not actually a huge fan of the Curious George show, and the book seems about on the level of the episodes; Curious George is suitably monkey-like, inept but sweet, and there are plenty of expressive pencil drawing of the scenes. I've certainly read any number of worse books of trite verses about cute families celebrating Christmas, in any case.
