I would say both incredibly problematic and incredibly awesome. It's very clearly based off of blaxploitation films, so you can imagine all the problematic things that come up from that, both in terms of representations of Jews and the relationship between the (assumed to be all white, cue racist Sammy Davis Jr. joke) Jewish community and black communities (there is a Kwanzaa Liberation Front. This goes about as well as you would expect). There is also homophobia around the villain's perceived queerness. On the other hand, there is something terribly cathartic about the rampant anti-Christmas sentiment and the knowledge that in *this* film when Jews are stereotyped as bagel-munching lunatics, it's because we're laughing about ourselves. So it's sort of a mixed bag. I enjoyed it, I would probably not choose to watch it in mixed company.

Miscellaneous. Eclectic. Random. Perhaps markedly literate, or at least suffering from the compulsion to read any text that presents itself, including cereal boxes.
