Yay thanks for sharing your thoughts. A few thoughts of my own;

"There's a central cool idea, some lovely prose, a lot of pointless gore, and a story that doesn't really hang together."

This sums up how I feel about all of Seanan McGuire's work that I've tried. Several of my friends really love her stuff but it does not work for me. Which is sad.

I'm mad about Leslie at the end of Broken Homes. I think she acted completely out of character and like a sexist stereotype so I've stopped reading the series. (Unless its fake out, but then I'm just mad at Peter for being a sexist jerk.)

The Craft sequence seems well done but some how doesn't emotional engage me. Another thing I wish I loved but don't.

I really loved "The Art of Space Travel" every day life in a SFF seting is a thing I'm into.

On the other hand I disliked "Touring with the Alien" because of surprise SIDS
