Thanks, lovely. I think you're right, lots of people did their best to pick the least worst compromise out of several really quite bad options. And then once they'd come to a position, they got very shouty about anyone who made the bad compromise in a different place from them. And played up the best case where they would get most of the positive they wanted from their choice, and ignored the downsides once they'd chosen to live with them. If Labour had actually won the election, or even if the hung parliament had meant May couldn't form a government, I wouldn't be delighted, but I would be more optimistic than in the current situation.
