Page layout

Those of you who only read my page via your friends' pages, and who care, can have a look at the new integrated-with-the-webpage layout...

Now it's an aboslutely gorgeous day, so I'm not going to spend too much more of it sitting at the computer fiddling with stylesheets, but instead get me outdoors into the sunshine.

Well done, but the font is a million times bigger (well, probably a couple points *grin*) on your lj than your webpage. And is it possible to make more space between the entries? I suppose not.

Oh, thanks for pointing that out; it's fine in Mozilla, because I think the defaults are different. I will go and try to fix it for IE.

I really doubt it is possible to make more space between the entries, though I would like that also. If anyone has any suggestions how it's possible, then I'm all ears.

OK, main issue sorted. The text that is sensibly smaller in Mozilla is teeny tiny in IE, but I don't think there's a great deal I can do about that, can't alter one without messing up the other. Because stupid IE doesn't do style priorities properly *sigh*

But seriously, yes, it's very lucky that you pointed it out, I can't believe I didn't spot that, I've mostly been quite good at checking various browsers.

Not quite the same, still, but probably good enough. ;) Uhh... what sort of word is 'chest,' in French? Or is it made-up you-French?

That wasn't proper French, that was soppy lispy French. Chest commeme = c'est quand-même

You so cannot write French like that, despite your continued insistence on speaking it like that! And here you make me think that a five-word sentence I could understand perfectly well has one word I have no idea about what it means and one word that I think isn't even French. (Which, I might point out, it wasn't, so nuh.)

I blatantly cann write French how I like! There's nothing wrong with using a written representation of a particular style of speech. Theoretically so nuh isn't correct written English, either, but you can still write it. If I had time, which I don't, I'd find you citations of French people doing exactly the same kind of thing.

Grr. I'm sure there are very good reasons why you can't, just I have no clue what they are.

Does anyone else see absolutely all my text as bold? Or is it just that this particular computer is set up bizarrely? Book antiqua looks terrible in bold, and anyway, large chunks of bold aren't easy on the eyes. Any suggestions?

Because the intended audience can't understand it is the best (and quite possibly only) reason I know for deeming any form of attempted communication to be invalid. 'nuh' is perfectly comprehensible (if a little puerile) but chest commeme is utterly useless and therefore shouldn't be done (but it can, as seen earlier, although with extremely poor results).
