I find the fad of using as icons things that people identify with rather than things that identify themself puzzling. It depends how much people want to identify themselves. As for me, I have two icons out of three that look reasonably like me, so I'm not doing a lot worse than you are, I think. Also, if there were any decent digital photos of me in the world, I might consider using them!
Miscellaneous. Eclectic. Random. Perhaps markedly literate, or at least suffering from the compulsion to read any text that presents itself, including cereal boxes.
