Poll: domain name

The question of the day is: do I need my own domain name? dopey.me.uk is still free, and I'm kind of tempted by it. I'm inclined to feel that a subdomain (livredor.p5.org.uk) is pretty adequate, especially as my webpage is a companion page to this journal just now, and it's nice to have them vaguely unified. I think if I could come up with something brilliant, I'd register it (assuming I could do so with sensible top domains). Opinions? Suggestions?
