DIAF, spammers

Having mentioned in a recent discussion that I don't have a big problem with spam here, I'm now experiencing a big flood of it. Anon comments remain screened and I may have to put in a captcha or turn them off altogether if the problem continues.

If I accidentally delete your comment or fail to unscreen it, my apologies. Please help me out by making it as obvious as possible that your comment is a helpful comment from a human. Sign your comment in some way (it's fine to use a random nonsense ident, I don't want to breach anyone's privacy, but some kind of signature please). Please write mostly in English if you can. And please respond to the ongoing discussion in a meaningful way; when I'm trying to pull real comments out of a sewer of spam, if something seems a bit weird or pointlessly mean or something I'm less likely to be able to give the benefit of the doubt. And if you have a question, please give some indication of what you're curious about / what is confusing you; just posting "?" to a post with several different sub-sections isn't really possible to respond to.
