If it's a problem that the router password is simple, then the solution is to change the password. But that's a certain amount of hassle, particularly when it comes to remembering what on earth I changed it to when I need to log in to the router in future. So I'm only going to bother doing that if a low-strength router password is actually going to cause any security problems.
