but just now I'm crashing hard after each visit. I've never been like this in long distance relationships in the past, and we have plenty of communication in spite of geography, so I'm not sure why I'm reacting like this

Curious - I find I am crashing after visits with the short-distance relationship. Not hard but noticeably enough, and I dont quite understad why, and I dont remember this happening to me before. Hope it all levels out for you and work is productive.
