I'm a mid-thirties Swedish archaeologist, working in Britain. ossamenta is my archaeology blog, where I talk about archaeological matters, mostly related to animal and human bones, and a bit of life in Britain. The blog has been a bit quiet lately, as work has been very intense. Hopefully I can get time to post more often later in the year.
Privately, I'm fannish and nerdy (of the fantasy/sci-fi/book/comic/history side of things rather than the computer side). I can be a stickler for historical accuracy when I do re-enactment (that said, I realise not everyone has the same standards in every aspect of re-enactment, and IMO the important thing is knowing where you take shortcuts and to justify them to yourself) (as an aside, I also like parentheses). This seems to shine through when I post, as I sometimes add reference sources, in case any reader wants to do a follow-up.
I haven't been active on Dreamwidth that long, so I can't really point to a typical post. Have a look through and see if you like it.
Recommendation: I usually find oursin's posts very interesting, particularly the ones connected to historical matters.
Miscellaneous. Eclectic. Random. Perhaps markedly literate, or at least suffering from the compulsion to read any text that presents itself, including cereal boxes.
