Your identity: I'm a thirty-something academic librarian in the MidWest with two cats, too many student loans to pay off, a job that is trying to steal my every waking minute (at least until June), and a love of destroying the librarian stereotype for unsuspecting people. :>
What you are passionate about: My cats don't make much of an appearance in my journal, but they do kinda rule my life. I have been heavily involved in fandom (er, was, until work exploded) and have finally found an idea tempting enough to branch out into original fiction. I've been knitting since I was in single digits and am an avid yarn collector. One day I will have time to do stuff with that yarn. I have drop spindles and finally met someone who's promised to teach me how to use them (as opposed to trying to learn from a book - it wasn't working). I read avidly when I have time, anything from fiction (sf/f, mystery, humor, drama) to non-fiction (I have a geek!reading list, it is long). Science and agriculture as passions of mine, though they don't make much of an appearance in my journal either. I'm not ashamed to admit that the Facebook game Castle Age is one of the things that's helped keep me sane the past month or two, same with Avernum. Shoes.
How you use Dreamwidth: Other than stare longingly wishing I had time to update? I've been very quiet lately because of an abundance of work and a shortage of time. Fannish stuff is unlocked, anything involving my personal life is locked. Lately it's been a lot of RL/work updates (if there's been anything at all). There will soon be additional panicking about moving again (but just to the downstairs apartment).
A link to a journal on Dreamwidth:shoes has also helped keep me sane, but is wonderfully dangerous for my pocketbook.
Miscellaneous. Eclectic. Random. Perhaps markedly literate, or at least suffering from the compulsion to read any text that presents itself, including cereal boxes.
