I'm a bit late to the party, but you sound like good times to me--I also love food, my cats, my family, and knitting! And I though I was pretty fannish for a while, I'm also in a down cycle, which has been sort of rough, both in terms of posting things (because I'm afraid of boring people) and in terms of having a reading list (because so many of my friends are still In Fandom, capital letters.)
