I haven't inquired, but I doubt FB would. (To give you an indication of his frumkeit, you may recall he frowned when I mentioned I ate Kingsmill bread (hekhshered but made by non-Jews) despite the presence of kosher bakeries in my area.)

I'm sure some must exist in Manchester somewhere, but I have never quite managed to find them. Partly because Google's new! improved! search function shows you every restaurant that mentions vegetarian options on its menu if you search for vegetarian restaurant, which is not at all helpful for finding actual veggie ones.

You should search on Happy Cow instead, which allows you to turn this functionality on and off... as Google bloody well ought to.

Still, I feel we could have made more out of a day in Manchester if I'd come up with some specific plans.

You were actually the backup option for coming up with plans; FB, as a resident of Manchester, was supposed to be our main planner.

I think basically what I want is to live in Manchester (not an hour away). I've realized this may be part of why I was so keen for lethargic_man to take up the offer of moving with his previous job to Manchester: for me, that opportunity would be a wish from a fairy godmother!

And a fat load of good that would have done me in terms of keeping a connection up with you when you'd flitted off on your next short-term contract! ;^b But nice to hear the sentiment anyway.

PS: I'm surprised you've never been stung by a wasp before!
