Oh man, I cooked so many amazing meals when I was "writing up". I like the rest of your points too, although even trying to be as calm as possible about the job market, the fact that 90% of people with PhDs in my field (anthropology) don't go on to get anthropology jobs really put me in a panic, and so I retrained to use the skills I'd learned during the PhD (namely languages). I think this was a good long-term decision, but I wish I'd actually finished the PhD before doing so. Retraining and working and doing post-viva major corrections has only been possible through not really doing the corrections until the last minute.
Miscellaneous. Eclectic. Random. Perhaps markedly literate, or at least suffering from the compulsion to read any text that presents itself, including cereal boxes.
