ptc24 is, in spite of being highly educated, also an auto-didact. He's always reading complex texts about all kinds of subjects, philosophy, economics, you name it, quite often primary texts, and engaging with them really deeply and thoughtfully. He never takes a position because it's fashionable or current with his friends, but only after seriously weighing up the arguments on all sides.
