Thank you, this is really super-encouraging. What a killer nuisance that it's been so hard to find a trainer who's prepared to support your goals rather than the usual assumed ones about body composition! I hope you're right about learning to lift from videos; I feel like I'm quite bad at learning from videos in general, and I'm probably more scared than I really need to be of injuring my back through incorrect technique.
