In the grey box in the middle of the page, type curious-reader.livejournal.com (make sure you use a hyphen - and not an underscore _)
Click the orange "Log in" button.
Say "yes" when LiveJournal asks you if you want to give Dreamwidth permission.
That should let you log in so you can post comments here with your name, and also get emails of replies and things like that. Oh, and I can give you permission to see my locked entries.
Meeting people is really hard, whether or not you restrict your options by refusing to date non-Jews. You have my sympathy, and I hope you will find someone soon. I think most people feel as you do about long distance relationships; I'm a bit unusual because I like my independence and find long distance more convenient. But you're right that I do miss my friends, that's a big part of the reason I'm trying to move back to England.
Thanks for your supportive comments about the not having babies thing. I do agree that there's no particular advantage to marrying someone who is secular and just happens to be halachically Jewish.
