Yeah, there is this idea that tragic stories are more worthy somehow. Maybe The water that falls on you from nowhere will count because it has an abusive family and some homophobia in it. But I wouldn't mind at all if Swirsky's story won in this category, it is very good indeed.

I am generally impressed with Takács' meta, so I should in fact go and read that story, thank you for the rec.
