Yeah, I lived a long way from my school too, though it's relative, an hour on the train isn't quite like being in a rural area of Australia. A lot of my not doing well socially as a teenager was that I had relatively little opportunity to meet anyone apart from the 80 people who happened to be in my school year, and I think that's quite a common thing. People make more friends as adults partly because they become more mature, but also partly because they have a whole lot more freedom to decide which social circles they want to connect to.
Miscellaneous. Eclectic. Random. Perhaps markedly literate, or at least suffering from the compulsion to read any text that presents itself, including cereal boxes.
