I suppose I'd start with the question of whether or not you actually *want* to run this weekend, because it's sounding to me, like something that's being imposed on you/that you don't perhaps feel you've got a real choice about whether you accept or not, even if it does give you an opportunity to go back to Sweden and see people there.

Assuming you do want to do it, is it possible/reasonable to say "subject too complicated, going to change theme to $less complex for an outsider to the community to run"?

If not, can you recruit useful helpers to make it less stressful? If it's difficult to teach in a text based way, is it possible to teach it in a different way and/or to do a mixture of text based teaching and discussion (?) based teaching or teaching based on something other than text. [If they're wanting text based teaching of something, rather than teaching tailored to this topic maybe it's really not a good theme for the weekend] Is it something where you could have moderated small group discussions about different aspects of the topic (hence useful helpers)?
