What I understood about the pairings thing was that it wasn't globally, I don't like X pairing but, it was more like another instance of being careful about stating preferences that just happen to recapitulate social hierarchies. Like, I don't like X pairing which everybody else hates too because it involves an ethnic minority character, but it's just my preference, why would you have a problem with that?
Miscellaneous. Eclectic. Random. Perhaps markedly literate, or at least suffering from the compulsion to read any text that presents itself, including cereal boxes.
