I don't think I'd really expect the books to be popular in non-Anglo cultures; even Australia, Canada and the US I don't know how popular they are compared to Britain where basically all children read them. I'm sorry for talking as if realizing about the allegory in Narnia was a universal experience, when really it's only a common experience for people with a similar cultural background to mine.
Miscellaneous. Eclectic. Random. Perhaps markedly literate, or at least suffering from the compulsion to read any text that presents itself, including cereal boxes.
