The thing is that owning a piano and practising regularly and getting to the level where I can play with tolerant friends are all aspirations, not things I actually do. I agree that if I do manage to make that happen, I will consider myself a musician in a very minor way, but right now I never ever make music at all, so I think it's the wrong label for me.
