Date: 2018-07-24 01:50 pm (UTC)My understanding is that Alderman, who is ex-Orthodox, consulted on the design elements of Disobedience, so I'm not surprised they got that right. Plus they seem to have a fair number of Jewish actors; Rachel Weisz comes to my shul occasionally. But even the book is somewhat about how Orthodox communities are awful and repressive, so I'm not sure I'm going to love the portrayal.
