Well, you won't be surprised I basically agree (and am equally vexed by the way it's always delivered as a slamdunk, so a) I could not even possibly have thought of this and b) screw disabled people who can't drive, basically, especially if they're also too skint to make routine use of taxis).
My only gripe is - yes, some people will need powered mobility aids. Tonne-plus powered mobility aids that will go at illegal speeds... maybe not so much. If disabled people enjoyed roughly the same mobility as everyone else - hence in this scenario able to move around cities at bicycle speed - that would be more equitable than what we have now and avoids the scenario where mysteriously every cager in the UK turns out to be disabled.
Miscellaneous. Eclectic. Random. Perhaps markedly literate, or at least suffering from the compulsion to read any text that presents itself, including cereal boxes.
