Thank you, it really makes a lot of sense that everything is intense because I'm a protag now, and I've always been a sidekick or a mentor. I hadn't quite realized that was what I was groping for.

It really is splendid and infuriating. And I can't get my head round the part where we're celebrating the gay and lesbian icons of our shared history, but I'm old enough to remember that they had to fight for every crumb of acceptance, let alone support.
