So I had a kind of ludicrous college assignment to spend all of the past academic year working on a single verse of Torah, with some restrictions on what we were allowed to pick so it couldn't be one of the really famous ones. And I managed to get invited to give a sermon last week, when the Torah portion we read included my verse.

Just to sneak in under the wire while it's still the right week for it, here is my 2000 word summary of a year of intense academic work.
