Heading home

I've managed to pack everything, including all the bookies I've acquired (like Abraham acquiring souls). Now I need to get this lot, which is both large and heavy, back to my parents'. Most of the next 15 hours or so (all being well) looks like this: subway-airtrain-checkin-plane-another plane-customs-bus-another bus. Many steps which could go wrong and which will probably be unpleasant and tiring even if they don't. I have also fixed my sandal with gaffer tape but I have a feeling it's not going to hold that well.

I still hate geography, and I wish I could extend my holiday. But there are people I love back on my side of the Atlantic as well as in this continent, which is some consolation.

I didn't take the tape, but I did stick some onto the envelope before I left, so that I would be able to seal it. So hopefully that should get to you ok. And yes, I did get home with no serious problems, thank you.

Not just a reflex response out of politeness, but I had the most wonderful time visiting you and I'm so very glad that it worked out possible. My love to W when he gets back.

btw, I not a lot of the music I played for you showing up as tunes in the background of later journal entries; stuck in your head, or have you been inspired to go out and buy music ?

Wow, you actually pay attention to my metadata? I'm most flattered. I should tell you that my definition of current music is fairly loose. I tend to include anything that's in my mind at around the time I'm writing, or that was playing at the time of the events I'm talking about, as much as what happens to be actually in my CD player at the moment of typing a post. But I am planning to keep an eye out for some of the stuff you played for me, yes. *grin*
