I had a really great weekend in Brighton celebrating my little sister's 26th.
( going out )
The Three Weeks for Dreamwidth project is over, and looks to me to have been a great success. I got over 1400 comments on my friending meme, namely 10 pages, so I'll be able to fulfil my pledge to buy $1 worth of DW points per page filled up. (I've taken it down from the top of my journal, but it's still there at the original posting date.)
Not this week, though, cos I've spent all my discretionary money on a replacement for my Eee netbook whose screen died on me (upgrading from the 701 model to a second-hand 900 series in shiny black), and on booking tickets for two reunions. Namely the Perse Girls reunion on 19th June, and the Merton weekend on 26th–27th June. I'm going to the latter mainly because the Warden, Dame Jessica Rawson, is leaving the college, and I am a great fan of hers and wanted to be there for her farewell dinner. Let me know if any of you guys are coming to either event, or if you're likely to be around in Cambridge between 17th and 20th June or in Oxford the following weekend.
