I am back in Sweden. [livejournal.com profile] doseybat is here, and we have been trying new and interesting food. Baby kiwis! Giant hairy lychees! Also some exciting pink and healthy stuff which Wikipedia hasn't heard of and Google has barely heard of. After some effort, we traced its origin to Korea via Belgium, meaning that most of the available information is in Dutch (that is to say, Flemish).

A machine translation informed us:
Again!
A family member of the germ of the red patches, with a beautiful rose-pink colouring and a soft, sweet patch taste.
Can anyone guess what this might be referring to?

Finally found a page in French, which both I and Google can speak a lot better than Dutch. Rosabi is sprouting seeds of beetroot. Behold:

I had decided that "patch" might be potato, so I wasn't entirely wrong. :)

If Bat is seen to eat beetroot sprouts, I need to know, so I can give her hell for it in perpetuity! :-)

Got it. Two pads, each of 15 sheets, 11x14", smooth finish Bristol Board. If you need more, or if this surface doesn't work out, I can easily go back there (or take you), so don't worry about it.

I sympathize. Beetroot is evil.

Beetroot sprouts sound awesome! I wonder if I can get seeds safe for sprouting, over here...

I haven't done any seed sprouting for ages due to generalised crapness. I should start again, sprouts are tasty and healthy and cheep.

Soundbite

Miscellaneous. Eclectic. Random. Perhaps markedly literate, or at least suffering from the compulsion to read any text that presents itself, including cereal boxes.
