liv: Stylised sheep with blue, purple, pink horizontal stripes, and teacup brand, dreams of Dreamwidth (sheeeep)
[personal profile] liv
The [community profile] three_weeks_for_dw festival begins today, a week before the first anniversary of Dreamwidth launching in open beta. I want to participate, but I don't do fanfic and I'm not really cross-posting anything anyway. So I decided that I would make an effort to post something every day for three weeks.

So really, not much is changing round here but I want to feel like I'm part of the project, and hopefully motivate myself to post a bit more often. (My participation in LJ is already minimal; I considered ceasing to provide any content there at all, but I decided that would annoy my friends a great deal while hardly affecting LJ at all, so I'm just continuing what I've been doing for a year, which is posting here and leaving only sporadic link posts at LJ. But I'll still be commenting there.)

First things first: I'm re-opening the giant non-fandom friending meme, which has already helped over a thousand people to meet new people. And for even more content, look at the specially created Three Weeks for Dreamwidth feed.

In order to keep up my posting resolution without getting too boring, I invite questions or suggested topics.

I'm tempted to suggest more political posts, if you're not sick of politics. Possibly not party-political stuff as such.

The three-weeks thing says it's not exclusively fandom-related, but you know that anyway.

I shall look into this when I get back home to (crossed-fingers) working internet access. Such a lot of reading and posting to catch up on!

Soundbite

Miscellaneous. Eclectic. Random. Perhaps markedly literate, or at least suffering from the compulsion to read any text that presents itself, including cereal boxes.
