I will probably be driving from London to Cambridge on Saturday, and then from Cambridge to the ceilidh - so I can offer both types of lift. Assuming Emma's also going to be in the car, I can offer lifts to three small people or two large people.

I am starting to doubt my initial assumption that we'd be fine cycling. but I also doubt that anyone happens to have space for five. Also, are we too late to panic and get space on the coach on Sunday?

Coach Sunday should hopefully be fine; there's a big old 53-seater doing two trips, so hopefully that covers most people. I've tried to set things up so none of the numbers are critical and people can change their mind at the last minute.

I am a guest who is travelling to London on Sunday and needs assistance with luggage etc - work training course for a week, and I'm not sufficiently mobile to do this journey independently. A lift to Goodge Street would be really helpful if anyone's going that way, I might end up taking a cab (which I'd be happy to share).

Does DW allow you to create filters? You could make one for wedding-invitees, which would probably help you if you need to make further arrangements.

Thanks for the suggestion, and I am truly sorry for having so much wedding stuff in my blog at the moment, I know it's annoying. The trouble with creating filters is that I wanted this poll to be visible to people who are mainly or exclusively on LJ rather than DW, and to people who are closer to Jack than to me, so that's quite a lot of people who wouldn't see this if it were filtered to my DW friends.

I'm coming from northwest London on the Sunday morning; if anyone can offer me a lift as a faster way of getting to the venue than Tube into town, train to Cambridge and then taxi, I'll happily take it. Otherwise I'll stick with Plan A.

Only if she's going via the South Circular and North Circular; but it's probably faster to go via the M25, in which case I'm way out of the way for her.

Thanks for doing this - I figured that you were already organising WEDDING and so sorting our own way to the ceilidh would make life simple for you, but this is a handy clearing-house.

On LJ I sorted out a taxi-share from central Cambridge for me and Becky C and a +1 - I'm happy to do this, and we could probably take one other person, or if there's a more sensible way of doing this I'm in with that plan.

Yeah, already organising WEDDING is pretty much my life for the last 6 weeks or so. I expect it's nothing on organizing Eastercon, mind you! Glad you found a taxi share, anyway, and I look forward to seeing you on Sat!

I am unfortunately having to tick 'snowflake' due to cat logistics. Cairo has been ill and currently needs to be pilled twice a day. The pills run out tomorrow and I call the vet to check up Thursday afternoon. assuming the advice is to stop giving pills and Cairo continues to be quite well then I can come.

sorry to be a pain but I can't nip long distances/away for upwards of a day whilst this is in effect. I suspect Ill be doing a last minute look for accommodation Friday assuming everything goes ok.

Meep, poor Cairo! I really hope the course of treatment is successful. I'll completely understand if you can't make it after all, even though that would be really sad.

What I'll do is match you up with one of the people who've offered crash space, and let them know that you might or might not be there Saturday night. Sorry I can't do better than that; I've got my whole family staying at my parents' so I can't really offer a bed to any guests.
