That's a very good transcription! I usually transcribe in a text editor first and and then enter the finished version into the system, because of this whole not being able to go back and edit problem. But no, this is great, though in my head it was punctuated a bit differently, which is a very minor problem.

You know, I very nearly answered this with a link to the phonepost FAQ, but realized in time that this is rho asking... pne seems to have tracked it down to nadnad's post which explains a bit. VoIP was involved, as far as I can gather.

Ah, interesting. Thanks. I think that if I ever do decide to make a phonepost, I'll probably just call one of the official numbers. I'm hopelessly suspicious about calling a number like that when I know nothing about the person providing it. And interestingly enough, it would actually be cheaper for me to ring the US during weekday day time than to call the 0870 number (BT says 7.51/3.75/1.50p per minute for daytime/evening/weekend, compared to 5p per minute that I pay for calls to the US.)

(And I will resist the temptation to make bad sheep-related puns, because they're baaaaad. Ooops.)
