Redirecting mis-delivered dream

The other night I had rather a sweet dream about misia. We were sitting side by side at two computers, both happily writing away at our separate projects, occasionally breaking off to give eachother an encouraging word or smile. It was the kind of hot, slightly muggy weather that makes clothes feel like a deeply unfair imposition, so we weren't wearing many. After a while, the encouraging words were turning into affectionate touching, such that by the time we'd both finished what we wanted to do, we were being quite cuddly. It wasn't particularly erotic, just comfortable and friendly mostly. Though it is the case, and I was aware of it in the dream, that misia is unreasonably gorgeous and half of LJ crushes on her.

Much as I appreciate having a dream about my thesis that does not involve stress or angst, I think this one would probably be more apt for someone like rysmiel. Or maybe pthalogreen. So in the interests of returning lost property, I'm putting it here.

I am so very glad to have my journal and friends list back! It's quite scary just how hard I found it to get through a weekend without access. (I've also lost the comments I made last night to my previous post. There was nothing of critical importance, just generally thanking people for their comments. I have no idea whether you'll have received notifications about the missing comments, but as a general summary: lovely people, feel appreciated.)

Who IS misia? I've just been reading her heritage notes. They're AWESOME!

misia is indeed awesome. I don't really know her, so I have to say I feel kind of odd dreaming about her naked. rysmiel recommended her journal to me ages ago. A few months after I started reading her, she became something of an LJ celebrity when she wrote a very powerful post about the prevalence of rape and sexual assault, which was the second most cited blog post in the whole internet in 2004.

You can probably figure out as much about her as I know, since she's fairly open in her userinfo and journal. Anyway, she's a professional writer, writes a fairly unexpected mixture of erotica and social history. And she's just one of those people who have so much to say that they write several long journal entries a day, and all kinds of online stuff, as well as writing as a full-time job. Her writing is just amazing, even when it's dashed off journal entries. And from what I can tell of her from reading her journal she's an amazing person too.

I appreciate the thought, that is a dream I suspect I would find most enjoyable modulo having permission from misia to do so, but I suspect you'd not actually want to exchange for the ones I've been having over the weekend, which were of the mixed anxiety variety. More tyrannosaurs; I think I have to put some in the current project.

I dreamed about her once too! we were talking. well she was talking and i was listening and it was awesome.

Yay for nice dreams about misia! At one point she posted in her journal with a link to a radio interview she'd done, and wow, she has such a lovely voice. I think even I would shut up and listen to her.

Well, if I'm going to end up with presumptuous dreams I'm very glad you're pleased rather than annoyed.

I must say, I love how democratic LJ is! I think in almost any other context I'd not be able to interact with someone like you beyond admiring you from afar. And here you are not only turning up in my dreams but commenting on my journal. This is very pleasing.

I like the democratic nature of it, too. I find it heartening, because it makes it possible for me to communicate with cool folks who might otherwise either not imagine me to be approachable or who simply wouldn't have likely crossed my path.

Oh, and I should note that it appears that rysmiel has been getting my tyrannosaurus rex dreams; I've been keeping the tyrannosaurs around to eat the extra virgins that litter my head and pester me in my sleep. The tyrannosaurs like them because they're crunchy.
