Roll your own compliments

This is based on an idea I got from jpallan. It's a bit like one of those memes where the poster gives everyone compliments, only in reverse: you get to pick your own compliment! Radios, not ticky boxes, cos I'm mean like that.

I may or may not actually tell you whether you're right, and I may or may not get round to writing more individualized and specific compliments. I do genuinely like all of you though; I don't have anyone on my friends list who isn't there for some reason!

I don't usually keep track of why different people find me interesting enough to get to know. I don't even always know why I like the people I like
I understand both these things entirely. But jpallan's post made me think it would be interesting to think about.

I felt I had better options.
Cool cool. I was trying to make them quite general, rather than something like because of that really nice present you made for me this one time...

I think it's better if different aspects appeal to different people, because then it's more like the whole me is useful and appreciated.
Oh, you're absolutely right there. It's good to think of yourself and like yourself as a whole person, if that's psychologically possible for you.
